Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving entered prelims Monday. It was the first half of prelims, and Wednesday will be the second half. The top 16 will make the finals on Thursday.
“Freshman Sophia Lord placed 8th in the 200 IM, swimming a lifetime best time,” said Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach Kelly Johanson. “She just missed the States cut, hopefully she’ll make it on Thursday.”
Other highlights from the prelims:
- The Medley Relay just missed finals, placing 17th- Tiedemann, Lord, Goldberg, Lien
- Zoe Lien placed 22nd in the 50 Free.
- Megan Tiedemann placed 23rd in the 100 Fly.
- Sydney Goldberg placed 31st in the 100 Fly
