Six COVID Cases in Rye Schools

The Rye school district reported six (6) COVID cases across three Rye schools – Rye High (2), Rye Middle (2) and Midland Elementary (2) – on Sunday evening.

Dear Rye Middle School Families, Faculty, and Staff,

The District was informed today of two individuals at Rye Middle School who have tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals are currently in quarantine and were last in school on Monday, November 22, and Tuesday, November 23. Due to federal health privacy laws, additional information about the individuals cannot be released.

One case resulted in quarantines; all individuals required to quarantine have been contacted by the District today via telephone and email.

Please be assured that we will continue to do everything in our power to keep the Rye Middle School community safe.

There is no need for any additional school-related contact tracing or quarantining associated with these cases.
