Rye Boys Varsity Swimming was buffeted by North Rockland Monday, falling 77-91 at the away meet. Even amidst the choppy waters, the team saw some standout performances.
“Freshman Ethan Zhou won both of his events last night,” said Rye Boys Varsity Swimming Coach Kelly Johanson. “He won the 200 IM and 100 back.”
Other highlights from the meet:
- Sophomore Will Soviero won the 500 free
- 8th grader Finlay Sutherland won diving
- Sophomore Bryan Laverty had 2 very close races and placed 2nd in the 200 free and 100 fly
- Sophomore Tripp Redd went a personal best time and placed 2nd in the 100 free
The teams record drops to 0-5. Watch the replay. The Garnets are next scheduled to compete against Ossining this Friday at 5pm.
