You might be used to going to a City of Rye website when you need to book a garbage pickup, pay taxes or reserve a tennis court. Now there is an app for that.
Working with a company called Info Grove, the City of Rye has launched a new app where you can find all sorts of things you might look for on a City website such as booking a special garbage pickup, pay taxes, reserve a tennis court at Rye Rec or find the parking app for downtown.
According to the City, they plan to continue to add more functionality. Plans include voting information as the election season approaches, as well as a new 311 service. The 311 service will allow residents to log information such as a bad pothole. This would then go into a ticketing system, be routed to the responsible party and presumably you would be notified of any resolution.
