In addition to the ceremony at City Hall on Friday, Veterans Day was also acknowledged with a special guest speaker at The Osborn, the private, non-profit, continuum of care community in Rye.
The Osborn hosted a luncheon with fifty or so residents with guest speaker Grant Savage, a Marine who grew up in Rye. Savage served two tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He shared insight into what it means to serve your country, how service has changed his life and helped build his character. Savage is married and has four children.
