Rye Girls Varsity Squash squished New Canaan, winning the away match Tuesday 6-1. The Garnets captured the Fairwest Girls League Championship with an undefeated record in the league.
“We had another solid win because of our depth top to bottom, senior leadership, and team camaraderie to go undefeated in league play and recapture the league title,” said Rye Girls Varsity Squash Coach Tony Campbell. “Senior captain Abby Davies dug deepest pulling out a 3-1 win against a tough, competitive, hard-hitting girl from New Canaan.”
The Garnets are now 10-2. Varsity is scheduled at Rye Country Day School on Wednesday at 4:30pm (outside league play).
