Rye Boys Varsity Tennis volleyed lots of love to New Ro at its season opener, sweeping the opponent 7-0 at the away match.
“With a united front, Rye Varsity A took on New Rochelle and swept them 7-0,” said Rye Boys Varsity Tennis Coach Sue Dickson. “Outstanding play by the four returning singles players, Nicolas Echlov, Alex Gordon, Matthew Templeman, and Henry Paul. They were disciplined, steady, and consistent showing leadership and great sportsmanship. It was a great start to the new season. All doubles teams won as well.”
Varsity is now 1-0. The Garnets host Foxlane this Thursday at 4:15pm.
