The parking lot located behind City Hall and adjacent to the Rye Free Reading Room will now have a maximum parking time of one hour, effective Monday, May 1st. According to the City, this change is being implemented to ensure that there is ample parking space available for all visitors to City Hall and the Library.

The change will not affect designated employee parking, which will continue to be permitted in the center of the parking lot behind City Hall and adjacent to the building for the duration of the workday.

In addition, the road leading to City Hall (Library Lane) will now allow parking for a maximum of 15 minutes only. This will allow visitors to have quick and convenient access to City Hall and the library.
