Dianne Louise Hillman passed away of complications from pneumonia on May 14, 2023, in Greenwich, CT. She was born on January 23, 1943, in St. Louis, MO to Bruin Speer and Frances England (both deceased) and spent her early years in Missouri prior to moving to New York where she graduated from Briarcliff High School in 1960. After high school, Dianne became a stenographer and performed shorthand for depositions in lawyers’ offices in and around New York City.
Dianne met David Hillman in 1964 and the two were married in 1965. She worked in the stenography field for 15 years before becoming a full-time Mom for three wonderful and active boys, David, Doug, and Dennis. David and Dianne started their family while living in Riverdale, NY, then moved to Larchmont, NY, and ultimately moved to Rye, NY where they lived for 13 years. They were also active members at Westchester CC for 25 years. After the three children were grown and out of the house, Dianne returned to her stenography career for twenty more years until retirement at the age of seventy eight. David and Dianne also had three grandchildren, Aaron, Sean, and Zarah who kept Dianne’s spirits high through their love and accomplishments.
Dianne is survived by Sons David, Douglas, Dennis, Daughter-In-Law Alejandra Hillman, and Grandchildren Aaron, Sean, and Zarah. Dianne was beloved by all those who knew her and her immense capacity for giving was an example for all to live by. She will be missed.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 4 PM to 7PM. Religious service will be held at Christ Church, 2 Rectory Street, Rye, NY on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 12:30 PM. The service will be livestreamed.
