From boating and water skiing around Byram Harbor during the ’60s, playing Varsity football for Greenwich High School in the ’70s, then playing Bass Guitar professionally to designing additions and homes the remainder of his time. Even speeding down I-95 from the 80 mph on up, Gary seemed fearless and invincible at times… but always had a warm smile in doing so.
Let Gary’s memory be a happy one, with a presence of Smiles and Laughs. While sharing stories and photos…Smile. Gary leaves behind his trusted dog, “Merlin”, his beloved niece, Allison, sister-in-law, Natalie and brother Billy along with Aunt Cherie, Uncle Richie, Aunt Lee and Cuzzin’ Barbara, the ‘sister’ he never had.
A 10 AM Service on Saturday, May 27th will be held at St. Roch’s Church, 10 St. Roch Ave., Greenwich, CT 06830, with a reception following immediately in the church’s annex, where friends and family can gather for refreshments and stories to sooth the soul. Donations can be made in Gary’s name to the Don Monti Memorial Research Foundation, a leader in cancer research located in Cold Springs Harbor, Long Island…our great place to water ski.
