On Saturday afternoon, Rye Boys Varsity Football was bitten by the Harrison Huskies in the 96th meeting of The Game. Fighting from a 0 – 14 deficit at the half, the Garnets put on the polish but it was not to be. The Gemstones fell short with 14 to Harrison’s 21.
“There were several key contributors to the second half comeback after being down 14-0 at half time, including Shep Griffiths, Jack Acciavatti, Tucker Hess and Jake Kessler,” said Rye Boys Varsity Football Coach Dino Garr. “It was a tough loss but we fought to the end. The second half is something we will build on for the rest of the season.”
