Nolan Hutson scored four times and drove in one more in Rye High School’s Boys Varsity baseball victory on Monday night. The Garnets defeated John Jay Cross River 7 – 4 to improve to 12 – 7 on the season in the home finale.

Hutson’s four runs led all players in the game on either team. Tommy Broderick and Jackson Pineault each recorded a hit in the win, while Charlie Margiloff picked up his third win of the year. Margiloff recorded four outs in relief, three coming via the strikeout. Only one JJCR Wolf reached base against the senior right-hander.

Rye’s next game is today, May 14, a road contest at Pearl River. This is a make-up game for the one previously cancelled on May 10.
