Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving caused pain to Suffern on Friday, winning the meet 103 – 81.
“The team had a great meet against Suffern,” said Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach Katie Konopka.
Rye diver Mia Howson placed first in the diving competition. Rye junior Kayla Lombardo won the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke and qualified for the sectional championship meet in both events. Kate Chesley won the 100 Fly and 100 Back. Blind Brook senior Sydney Goldberg won the 200 IM.
The team is now 2 – 1. The Garnets swim versus Fox Lane next Friday at 4:30pm.
