Rye Girls Varsity Swimming made waves on Tuesday with a 97 – 72 win over John Jay Cross River-North Salem.
“Rye-Rye Neck- Blind Brook had a great win tonight over JJCR-NS,” said Rye Girls Varsity Swimming Coach Katie Konopka. “Mia Howson won the 1M diving event with a score of 189.35, qualifying for the Sectional Diving Championship. Sydney Goldberg won the 200 IM and 100 Fly and qualified for Sectional Championship meet in the 100 Fly. Kate Chesley won the 100 free qualifying for the Sectional Championship and won the 100 back qualifying for the NYS Championship meet.”
The team is now 3 – 1. The Gemstones swim against Clarkstown on Friday at 4:30pm.
