Boys Varsity Swimming Sinks Woodlands

The Rye Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving team sunk Woodlands on Thursday 96 – 68.

“The Rye-Blind Brook Swim team had a great meet against Woodlands tonight,” said Rye Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach Katie Konopka.

Rye- Blind Brook took first (Bryan Laverty), second (Will Soviero), and third (Finn Palermo) in the 200 Freestyle. Rye-Blind Brook took first (Kieran Moran), second (Filip Glitterstam), and third (Jon Capaldi) in the 200 Individual Medley. Finn Hansen and Niko Field placed first and second in the 1M diving. Bryan Laverty won the 100 Fly. Rye senior Will Soviero placed first in the 500 Freestyle.

The team is now 4 – 0. Varsity faces Nyack High School on 4::30pm Friday at the Hommocks Pool.
