Attention Rye Luddites: Paper School Calendar Still Available – You Can Pay With Printed Money Too

We reported previously that the Rye City school district calendars had gone paperless. The district has a terrific new web site where you can can download the calendar on to your application of choice. All you crackberry and iPhone addicts should be in heaven.

But for those Luddites who can't exist without a dead tree tacked to the frig with those magnets that never really hold it quite right, it turns out the RHS PO is complying with your wish to remain in your cave. Only it will now cost you $5.00.

The RHS PO is producing a printed 2009-2010 Rye City School District Calendar (as in prior years). Please try to have exact change or a check payable to RHS PO. The calendar is available at the following locations:

RHS:
Wednesday, 9/2 from 8:30 to 11:00 AM
Thursday, 9/10 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM

Rye Beach Pharmacy, on Forest Avenue, 967-0856
Hours are: Mon. – Fri. 9 to 7:30 & Sat. 9 to 6:30 & Sun. 9 to 1

    Let us openly declare our disdain for the bourgeois gadgetry of the new millennium and forcibly cast aside the portable silicon slave traps of so called progress. Let the digitary tremble at a newly rejuvenated dead tree revolution as we pen and ink proletarians lose nothing but our binary megapixel chains.

    And by the way – what’s with the five bucks? Don’t we pay enough in school taxes for the BOE to do a short print run and make them available to the taxpayers as part of their educational mission?
