Before 2003 Rye never knew these kittens, the WALTER PANAS PANTHERS, sister school to the Lakeland Hornets in Shrub Oak. By the way the first Garnet fan identifying Walter Panas’ occupation wins a free t-shirt courtesy of the Rye Football Association. But it is the Blue and Gold who wish introductions had never been made.
Between regular season contests and playoff appearances through 2014, the ledger card recorded a 7-0-0 (1.000) series in favor of Rye. That’s seven cat spats in eleven years – these Panthers are behaving like rabbits. PUNISH THE PANTHERS ! PUNISH THE PANTHERS !
