Welcome to the Storytelling Project, Episode #6 with NY State Assemblyman Steve Otis
Over the last few weeks we have asked various Rye citizens – elected officials, city staff, community leaders and local authors – to read a story for the youngest citizens of Rye. Each day, we will share a new story.
Today, New York State Assemblyman and former Rye Mayor Steve Otis reads Teddy Bear from Mother Goose Treasury. Otis told MyRye.com “As a child my favorite books included any books with bears or dogs as well as Barbar the Elephant, Madeline, Encyclopedia Brown and the Matt Christopher sports books.”
In the video, Otis is accompanied their family’s chocolate lab Winston. In Rye since 1984, Otis lives on Lynden Street.
