Welcome to the Storytelling Project, Episode #16 with Wine at Five’s Cai Palmer
Over the last several weeks the Rye Free Reading Room and MyRye.com have asked various Rye citizens – elected officials, city staff, community leaders and local authors – to read a story for the youngest citizens of Rye. We are now pleased to be showcasing local Rye merchants (if you are a local merchant, and would like to participate, please get in touch).
Today, Wine at Five’s Cai Palmer reads Deborah Underwood’s Reading Beauty.
For any local teetotalers, Wine at Five has been a boutique wine store in Rye since March 2006, and can be found at 1 Elm Place. And for wine lovers looking to panic buy a last-minute mother’s day gift, Palmer has you covered with CARE BOX #23 – MOTHER’S DAY ($120) and a number of other selections he can deliver to your door.
“Never would have seen this coming, but fortunately we are deemed an essential business,” Palmer told MyRye.com. “and so Wine at Five remains open, albeit most of my business is delivering to thirsty mouths and stressed out moms.”
Essential service indeed.
