How doers get more done. June 17. Cottage Street / Midland Avenue. While at the Marriott, I overheard Port Chester receive a call that loss prevention from Home Depot was in pursuit of a suspect. Once a Port Chester unit called on scene, I drove over to Eldrige and assisted the officer in locating the suspect who was reported to be in a backyard. I found the suspect hiding under a bush, and I assisted the PC officer in placing the suspect into handcuffs. Once other PC officers arrived on scene, I returned to my post. No further incident.
Riff-Raff. June 17. Manursing Island Club. The manager of Mansuring Island Club called in regards to a party that is not welcomed on site. Manager will meet Cars 11 and 16 outside to point out location of unwanted party.
Bambi Down. June 17. Jay Estate. REPORT OF AN INJURED DEER ON THE JAY ESTATE.
Im-Possum-ble. June 17. Elmwood Avenue. COMP STATES THERE IS A DEAD POSSUM IN HER DRIVEWAY & WANTS IT REMOVED. PO JONES DISP TO ASSIST.
Explosive. June 17. Five Points, Grace Church Street / Midland Avenue. REPORT OF POSSIBLE GUN SHOTS IN AREA OF MIDLAND AVE/GRACE CHURCH ST. PO SALGUERO, PO JONES & PO PARKER DISP. spoke to patrons at kellys, stated they saw the fireworks in the sky. group of kids walking in the area of post.
Not Riff-raff / Oops. June 18. Manursing Island Club. Caller states that a party is on the Manursing Island Club’s property who is not a member. WRONG ID. Mistaken ID. Individual was a member.
I’ve Fallen in Aisle 7. June 18. CVS Store, Boston Post Road. 60 CONTROL REPORTS A MEDICAL ALERT ACTIVATION COMING FROM THE AREA OF CVS. NO PARTICULARS GIVEN OF EXACT LOCATION OR PARTY. EMS DISPATCHED. Spoke with the only party who had a necklace push button medical alert in the store. She was not in distress. No other party in this location in distress. Alarm set off in error.
Huskies Hanging. June 19. Rye Arts Center 59 Milton Road. Suspicious vehicle behind Art Center. parked occupied by two youths. boyfriend / girlfriend out of harrison. parties on their way.
Blowing Leaves, Blowing Up. June 19. Harbor Terrace. Dispute with Landscapers. resident had an exchange of words with neighbor’s landscapers in regard to using a leaf blower. Resident did not wish to file a statement. Landscaping company was spoken to and warned about the use of leaf blowers.
Almost Knee Capped on Scotch Caps. June 19. Milton Harbor. Vessel boarding of a jet ski after receiving a radio report of a jet ski cutting through Scotch Caps. Operator states he was not near the caps, boarding report completed, no violations observed.
Right. Yep. Sure. June 19. Dearborn Avenue. Found marijuana in the house when cleaning out after last renters. TOT DD for disposal.
Restless “Yutes”. June 19. Highland Road / Oneida Street. IN AREA OF INDIAN VILLAGE, GROUP OF YOUTHS BEING DISRUPTVE & DESTROYING PROPERTY. PO PARKER, PO CALCAGNI, & PO ROSACE DISP. SPOKE TO HOMEOWNER. DOES NOT WISH TO PURSUE FURTHER AT THIS TIME.
Aimless “Yutes”. June 20, 3am. Forest Avenue / Gramercy Avenue. 5 youths on bikes heading north on Forest Ave. Made contact with 1 who stated they snuck out of the house and were heading back in. Observed all youths return to *** Forest Ave.
Hoop’ed She’d Like It. June 20. Hayward Place. resident states that a basketball hoop owned by her neighbor is on her property. HOME OWNER ADVISED THAT THEIR NEIGHBOR PUT A BASKETBALL HOOP IN HER DRIVEWAY. SPOKE TO THE OWNER OF THE HOOP, HE ADVISED HE WOULD REMOVE HIS PROPERTY.
Not Coming from Playland. June 20. Barlow Lane / Harbor Lane. Resident states fireworks having been going off for several nights in a row, in the area of barlow lane and harbor lane, casuing a distrubance.
Rock’in Out. June 21. Rye Marble. North Street / Summit Avenue. CALLER REPORTS CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT NOISE IN F/O RYE MARBLE Rye Marble left an air compressor on tonight. No one on premise. Business is locked up for the night. Cannot turn off air compressor.
Not a Febreze. June 21. Grace Church Street. Caller states there is an animal in the roadway that is stinking up the neighborhood. Car 12 sent. OPPOSITE 331 GRACE CHURCH ST IN THE GRASS PARALLEL TO THE ROAD.
Surprise & Welcome Home. June 22. Cowles Avenue. caller states that there are lights on in his neighbors house (Wilson) and they have been away for months homeowner just got back from vacation SPOKE TO HOMEOWNER.
Floating Problem. June 23. Marine Unity Building. Milton Avenue. Mooring Complaint. Marine Division was advised by boat basin supervisor of potential floats placed illegally inside the Harbor. Identified several floats with out permits affixed. A tour will follow up.
