With the virtual school year coming to an end, parents who are searching for ways to keep their children occupied, engaged, and happy have a new resource at their disposal.

The Rye Arts Center has announced the opening of their much anticipated Summer 2.0. The RAC already has more than 250 people participating in their online classes, lessons and virtual arts programming.

Registration is now open for more than 100 online summer classes. They include painting, drawing, coding, animation, sewing, model-making, ceramics, engineering, game design, Manga, music, theater, and more. One of The RAC’s most popular programs is their Musical Theater Weeks which will also be moved to a digital stage culminating in online performances.

In addition The RAC is offering private online lessons in more than a dozen musical disciplines, such as piano, guitar, violin, voice, ukulele, flute, saxophone, and more.

Classes and lessons are available for ages 4 and up, including adults. Most of RAC’s summer classes run for one week (Monday – Friday) and last 60-120 minutes. Students can repeat classes week after week to build upon the skills they learn. Class sizes are small allowing instructors to adapt to the needs of each individual student. Week 1 begins June 29th and the final week, Week 9, begins August 24th. The week-by-week model is perfect for families who need a little flexibility as they adapt to changing summer plans. The daily schedule of classes is built so that students can fill their days with creative activities or enjoy a single class each day.

While The RAC’s classes are open to EVERYONE, you can become a member to receive a 10% discount for most classes.
