During the two week project “they worked mostly remotely, meeting with us via Microsoft Teams, and getting their assigned families via a Google Docs Form,” said Bill Cusano, executive director of Caritas. “On Wednesdays, they called the families that signed up to verify addresses and let them know someone would be delivering meals the next morning. Then on Thursday, they arrived at St. Peter’s Church to help pack meals in bags, affix labels and load the cars of drivers to deliver them.  The seniors also delivered meals.”

The seven Rye High seniors that worked for Caritas are Grace MacDonald, Grant Howard, Pippa Emms, Jake Girling, Hallie Rosenfield, Callie Formon, and Juliette Brook. With these and other local students, Caritas more than doubled the number of families served from 30 to 75, and delivered meals for over 260 people.
