Power Outages as Tropical Storm Isaias Approaches

As of Tuesday afternoon, 342 customers in Rye are without power. That’s just over 5% of the service area in the city, and Tropical Storm Isaias is still approaching.

Via automated message, Rye PD is warning “the city has many trees and power lines down – numerous power outages causing traffic light outages! NYS law – if a traffic light is out you must stop in all directions! Avoid driving if you can – do not approach down wires or trees – Report power outages to Con Ed – 1-800-75-coned.–”
