Rye Girls Varsity Basketball hunted Fox Lane on Tuesday afternoon to bag a win for its season opener. Playing at Fox Lane, Rye dominated the opponent 72-31.
“It was a solid team win and many players contributed,” said Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Margo Hackett. “Great start to our season! Thank you to Dr. Byrne and Ms. Dullea for working so hard to give these girls the opportunity to compete.”
Amanda Latkany posted 20 points, Mara Ball bagged 17 points, Ava Greto put away 12 points, Natasha Meyer scored 11 points, and Emily Eckerson landed 9 points. Hannah McGovern played key minutes off the bench.
