The City has elevated John McDwyer to the position of Fire Captain. The 29-year veteran was made Lieutenant and the City’s Fire Inspector in March 2020 after Kurt Tietjen retired.
The news was announced by City Manager Greg Usry and Acting Public Safety Commissioner Mike Anfuso in a memo Thursday morning. The City will recognize McDwyer with the presentation of his Captain’s badge on Tuesday, August 31st at 10am at City Hall.
