Rye PD sprung into action Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm. Responding to a “vessel in distress” call, three bay constables responded in Rye PB-1 (police boat one).
According to Rye PD, the constables were able to rescue the sole occupant of a partially submerged vessel without incident or injury. The PD worked inter-agency communication with Westchester County Police, Rye FD and Port Chester Rye Rye Brook EMS during the incident.
