Girls Varsity Basketball Tops Byram Hills in Buzzer Beater

Rye Girls Varsity Basketball topped Byram Hills in a buzzer beater, winning 53-52 at home.

“Mackenzie Chimento’s first career varsity points came on a buzzer beater to beat Byram Hills!,” said Rye Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Margo Hackett. “Eighth grader Paige Tepedino scored 23 points for us in the win. Emily Eckerson had 10 points and Hannah McGovern scored 8.”

The team’s season improves to 3-5. Watch the replay. The Garnets play next at Ardsley this Friday, 4:30pm.
