Man Arrested for Criminal Trespass on Martin Butler Court & Phillips Lane
Rye PD arrested a man Thursday evening for trespassing on Martin Butler Court and on Philips Lane. Both streets are off Forest Avenue on Milton Point.
Officers were dispatched around 9:30pm Thursday evening on a call of trespass in progress on Martin Butler Court. Officers found Jose J. Santos-Pena, 23, of Yonkers walking in a driveway on nearby Phillips Lane and interviewed him.
In Santos-Pena’s possession were keys to a Honda Accord parked on Forest Ave that was reported stolen out of Otis, Massachusetts in the Berkshires. Officers were alerted by a resident that Santos-Pena was observed earlier in the day on her property.
Santos-Pena was arrested on 2 counts of Criminal Trespass 3rd, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd, Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd, and transported to Rye PD headquarters for processing. Santos-Pena was arraigned in Rye City Court Friday morning and released on his own recognizance with a return court date of September 27th at 9:30am.
Rye PD reminds you that booking charges are merely accusations and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
