Girls Varsity Rugby Drains the Blue Wave

In its second win in the Nutmeg State Thursday, Rye Girls Varsity Rugby drained the Darien High School Blue Wave 14 – 12.

“Hard fought match for Rye,” said Rye Girls Varsity Rugby Coach Geri Jones. “We countered their speed with our defense and speed. Molly Kennedy scored both tries and extra points for the Garnets.”

The Garnet record is now 6 – 2. The gemstones host Greeley on Monday at 4:30pm in the first round of the post season.
