Bad Weather Descending on Rye
The expected nasty weather Tuesday evening overnight into Wednesday is started to cause havoc already:
- The City is warning there could be 2-3 inches of rain starting Tuesday evening into Wednesday
- all after-school and evening activities and athletic events at Rye scchools were cancelled
- the Board of Education meeting has been cancelled and rescheduled
- Rye PD has lifted parking restrictions for Tuesday night
- PD said residents that ordinarily park in flood prone areas are encouraged move their vehicles to the MTA lot
- The Rye YMCA is putting up its flood gates at 21 Locust Avenue and has announced a delayed 7:30am opening for Wednesday morning
