Harry A. Adams was born in New York on January 17, 1925, to parents Harry L. Adams and Anna Adams. Harry lived with his parents and two sisters, Doris and Diane, at 290 Forest Avenue in Rye for much of his childhood.

Harry graduated from Rye High School in 1942 before enlisting in the U.S. Navy on September 16, 1950. He served in the Korean War for about six months, eventually being discharged on April 5, 1951.
Following his discharge, Harry returned to Rye to be near his family. He joined many Rye clubs and committees, including the Veterans Committee.
Harry passed away on June 20, 1984 and was buried in Suffolk County. He was 59. More on Adams.
