Rye Boys Squash Falls In Tight Affair with StreetSquash

The Rye Boys Varsity Squash Team fell on Friday night (1/10) in their third match of the 2024-25 season, coming up just short of StreetSquash. The match took place in Harlem, and the Garnets lost it 4-3.

“Charlie Rodilosso, Andrew Chun and Joey Cavatoni brought home wins for the Garnets,” Head Coach Quan Hyunh told MyRye.com.  “Unfortunately the Garnets were unable to secure another win and fell short 4-3.”

The closest Rye came to pulling out the win was in the #6 position, where Michael Talbott lost to his opponent in a tightly-contested five game battle.

Rye (1-2) has more than a week off before their next match on Tuesday, January 22. The Garnets will play host to City Squash at 8:30pm at MSquash in Port Chester. That’s the first of back-to-back matches for Hyunh and his team, with five matches in nine days between the 22nd and 30th.
