The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 is out. The Council will convene at 5:30pm and adjourn into Executive Session to discuss pending litigation and personnel matters. The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).
Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended.

- Open Mic. Members of the public may be heard on matters for Council consideration that do not appear on the agenda.
- Greg’s Last Grist. Report of the City Manager.
- Grist About Greg. Recognition of City Manager Greg Usry by Mayor and Council at Mr. Usry’s last Council meeting.
- Reboot. Presentation of IT managed service project.
- Can You Hear Me Now? Resolution authorizing the transfer of $6,000 for the City to join the municipal coalition to review forthcoming FCC positions on cellular infrastructure regulations.
- Making Things Less Murky. Resolution authorizing the transfer of $10,000 for the City to retain consultants to review the proposed Grant Avenue development site plan application pending in the Town of Harrison. - 911. Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS Transportation Agreement.
- Recharging the Law. Public hearing to consider a local law to amend Chapter 98-125 “Battery Energy Storage System” to prohibit the use of Battery Energy Storage Systems of a certain capacity.

- Farming, Selling, Smooching & Running. CONSENT AGENDA a) Consideration of a request by the Rye Chamber of Commerce for the use of City Car Park #2 on Sundays for the Down to Earth Farmer’s Market to be held weekly from April 27, 2025 – November 23, 2025.; b) Consideration of a request by the Rye Chamber of Commerce for the use of City streets for the annual Sidewalk Sale, Thursday, July 17, 2025 – July 19, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM.; c) Consideration of a request by the Rye Chamber of Commerce for the use of City streets from Village Green to Purdy to host the annual Mistletoe Magic Celebration, Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 11 AM to 3 PM.; d) Consideration of a request by the Rye YMCA to use City streets for the 37th annual Rye Derby, Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. As part of the request, the Rye YMCA would like to restrict parking on Purchase St, Locust Ave, and Theodore Fremd Ave for the same period.
