Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook Varsity Swimming and Diving Head Coach Katie Konopka has named her MVP for the 2024-25 season on the diving side: sophomore Finn Hansen.

“Finn had a very strong 2024-2025 diving season,” Konopka told MyRye.com. The sophomore was a constant performer for the diving team all season.

Hansen placed first in the 1-meter dive during most dual meets for the team in 2024-25, anchoring the diving team. At the League 2 diving championship in January, he finished in third. Hansen was awarded All-League honors for his ample success throughout the season, his team’s first in League 2.

With two more years of eligibility, Hansen will continue to be a major contributor for Konopka as a first-place threat in any dual meet.
