The Rye Girls Lacrosse team defeated the Yorktown Huskers 12-9 on Tuesday, April 29, improving to 6-4 on the 2025 season. Senior midfielder Caroline Doyle scored five times for the Garnets to lead the way for the road victory.

The senior midfielder backed her offensive output with a strong two-way game, causing a turnover and securing three draw controls. Seven other Garnets also found the back of the net in a game which “showcased the abilities and depth” of the team, according to Head Coach Michelle Mason.

Defensively, Rye was led by seniors Cami Brooks and Taylor Bainbridge, who combined for six ground balls and three caused turnovers. Katherine Ebeling made six saves in goal to earn the win.

Rye (6-4) hosts Bronxville in their next matchup, a 7:00pm start under the light at Nugent Stadium on Friday, May 2. The game is Morgan’s Message Night, honoring the story of Morgan Rodgers. Learn more about the importance of her story and the upcoming Garnets’ game here.
