Boys Lacrosse Smokes JJCR as Ramachandran Dominates

The Rye Boys Lacrosse Team held John Jay-Cross River to one goal on Tuesday, May 6, winning 12-1. Rye dominated in net and in the faceoff circle, which helped them ease past the Wolves for their ninth win of the 2025 season.
Ty Ramachandran had one of his best career games with eleven saves on twelve shots for a remarkable .917 save percentage – an impressive day for a hockey goalie, and nearly unheard of for a lacrosse tender. The Georgetown commit was one second-quarter goal away from a shutout.
Wilson Redd also had an extremely strong game on faceoffs, winning 14/16 to help his team control possession. Once they did, they regularly found Charlie Brady (four goals, five points) and Will Niejadlik (hat trick, seven points) to drive the offense. Carson Miller, Tucker Hess, and Tyler McDermott had three point games as well.
The Garnets (9-2) continue to have an excellent season with just five regular season games remaining on the schedule. Their next contest is on the road against Eastchester at 5:00pm on Thursday, May 8. Watch the replay of the JJCR win here.
