(Updated 7/27: the accident was on Purchase Street. We had previously said Boston Post Road and this was an error.)
Two teenagers flipped their car off Purchase Street on Friday evening in the City of Rye at the Harrison Town line.
The male driver, age 18, and the female passenger, age 17, walked away from the accident. Both refused medical attention. Rye Police said the accident is under investigation and that speed is believed to be a factor.
The vehicle, a four door Audi sedan, is registered out of Scarsdale and the 18 year old driver is a Scarsdale resident. Rye PD, Rye FD, Port Chester-Rye Brook-Rye EMS and RBJ Service towing all responded to the scene.
In early July, a 19 year old flipped a car on the Boston Post Road in Rye with six passengers inside.
