The Rye Volleyball team’s hot start continued on Wednesday, September 17, as the Garnets defeated Scarsdale in four sets. Rye won set one 25-15 and set four 25-13, but battled tough in overtime in the two middle sets. The final score line reads 25-15, 30-28, 24-26, 25-13.
Valeria Medina and Amelie Modesto both nearly double-doubled with seven kills and twelve digs and seven kills and 22 assists, respectively. Modesto filled up the boxscore with three aces, two digs, and one block.
Carly Woods dominated at the net with six blocks, playing a huge role in the game. Lexi Kessner recorded ten digs and five helpers, while Katelyn Haines provided solid secondary attacking with six kills.
Rye (4-1) is right back in action today, Thursday 9/18, as they travel to Pelham for a road game. First serve is scheduled for 4:30pm against the Pelicans.
