The Rye Field Hockey team creamed Suffern on Monday, October 6, topping the Mounties 7-0. Four different Garnets had multiple points as the team won their seventh straight game and 10th overall on the season.
“Sienna Myers scoring the first goal of the game was the highlight,” Head Coach Valerie Perkins told MyRye.com. “She scored off a corner and helped set the tone for the second half of the game.”
Myers, Issy Mann, and Beau Whaling all scored twice on the evening, while Whaling (two) and last game’s hero Liv Prata (three) both added multiple assists apiece. Robyn Wilmont scored her first goal of the season to cap off the big offensive day.
Rye (10-1) becomes the first athletic team to ten wins in 2025, doing so unbelievably fast (11 games, 34 days). They will look for number 11 on Wednesday, October 8, as they travel to Horace Greeley for a 4:30pm non-league game. Watch it here.
