The Rye Field Hockey team secured their eighth victory in a row on Tuesday, October 14, defeating Mahopac 6-2. Junior Liv Prata scored four times to power the Garnets to the blowout victory, which moves them to 11-2 on the 2025 campaign.

“Liv Prata had an incredible game scoring four goals,” Head Coach Valerie Perkins told MyRye.com on Wednesday. “Her first goal came just three minutes into the game and set the tone. She was able to beat a defender to a 50/50 ball in the circle and took a quick shot to find the back of the cage.”

Rye never looked back after the quick strike, extending their advantage to 4-1 before halftime on just five shots. The Garnets’ offense was very efficient, highlighted by Prata. Beau Whaling and Kendall Bahl also scored goals, and Bahl led Rye with two assists on the night as well.

Chloe Holden and Tessa Zicari split time in goal, making four and two saves respectively. The Garnets only outshot Mahopac 11-8, but their goaltending stood much taller with a combined .750 save percentage.

Rye (11-2) will look to stay hot in their next contest on Saturday, October 18. The Garnets host Arlington at Nugent Stadium to wrap up their season-long three game homestand at 7:00pm. Replay part of the Mahopac win here (note: the stream corrupts at about the start of the second half).
