The Rye – Blind Brook Swim and Dive team suffered their second loss of the 2025-26 season on Tuesday, December 16, as they fell to Ardsley-Hastings-Edgemont-Irvington 87-78. The swimmers kept the Garnet Trojans in the meet, but the team could not find enough points to earn the road win.

“Rye – Blind Brook had some good swims against a very competitive AHEDI team,” Head Coach Katie Konopka told MyRye.com.

The 200M freestyle relay team of Nick Stocks, Filip Glitterstam, Liam O’Byrne, and Wilson Redd placed first, the only event which Rye – Blind Brook won.

Stocks picked up two second-place finishes in the individual 200 free and 100 free, while O’Byrne swam a personal record (PR) time in the same 100 free heat. Charlie Thigpen medaled with a third-place result in the 200 free, just behind Stocks, and second in the 100 back, the top finisher among any Garnet Trojan.

Redd, alongside Daniel Morris, Michael Hamlet, and Austin Frankel, all finished the 50 free with PRs. Jackson Rindahl went best times in both the 500 free and 100 backstroke.

Rye – Blind Brook (1-2) will look to get back in the win column on Friday, December 19, their next dual meet and last one before the calendar flips to January.
