The Rye Girls Basketball team took down Harrison on Thursday, December 11, winning 61-44. The Garnets pulled away in the second quarter, winning the frame 16-6, to post a nice road league win early in the season.
“Big league win vs. Harrison,” Head Coach Margo Hackett told MyRye.com after the game.
Four Garnets reached double figures in the victory, highlighted by Charlotte Storz’ 17 points. Phoebe Greot worked the paint to the tune of 14, while Stella Maresca and Frankie Chiaravalle shot well to post 12 and 10 points respectively. The foursome combined for 53 of Rye’s 61 points.
