The Rye Boys Squash team remained undefeated in the 2026 season, as they steamrolled City Squash 6-1 on Tuesday, January 6. The Garnets improved to 3-0 with the rout and did not show any signs of rust coming off an extended holiday break.

“Trent Rosberry, Michael Talbott, Emmet Deaner, Rocco DeFife, Owen Karl, and Dylan Smailes secured their matches each with 3-0 wins,” Assistant Coach Joseph Hughes told MyRye.com. “They look forward to continuing their winning streak in the coming weeks with matches like Scarsdale approaching.”

With six individual games ending 3-0, there was never a doubt the Garnets were the better team, and they were rewarded with a 6-1 final score. Rye is off to a fast start in search of their second consecutive Fairwest League championship.

Rye (3-0) faces off against a very strong Scarsdale team in their next match, scheduled for Friday, January 9. The contest begins at 6:00pm at Lifetime Fitness in Harrison.
