Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook Swim and Dive head coach Katie Konopka has named her two MVPs for the 2026 season: juniors Finn Hansen and Wilson Redd.

“Finn is the MVP for diving this season,” Konopka said of the former. “He had a great junior season on the diving board.”

Hansen was a key contributor in diving meets all season for the Garnet Trojans, which culminated with a fifth place finish at the Conference 3 championship meet in the 1M diving event. He also did some swimming throughout the year, both in individual and team heats, becoming the only player on the roster to contribute on both sides of a dual meet.

Wilson Redd only swam, but excelled all season long. Multiple times throughout the year, the junior co-MVP set new personal best times in both the 50M and 100M freestyle races. His progress throughout the year led to an 8th-place finish in the 50 free and 16th-place result in the 100 free at the Sectional championship meet. For his efforts, Redd was named to the All-League team.

Both Hansen and Redd are set to return to Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook in 2027 for their senior seasons, where they will look to continue to progress in the pool and off the board to lead their team to another strong year in Conference 3.
