
The city council’s agenda for Wednesday, April 15, 2026 is out. At 6:30pm, there will be a ceremonial Square House meeting, then at approximately 7:15pm the council will hold its regular meeting, also at the Square House.
If the council adjourns into executive session at the end of the meeting, it will discuss litigation.
The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 1310 (formerly 75) and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive). The council publishes its office hours on the City website.
The ceremonial portion of the evening will include welcome remarks and acknowledgement of officials past and present who have served the City of Rye; remarks by various council members; and remarks by Alison Relyea, the new Landmarks Commission chair.

- Putting Down Roots. Approval of a request by the Rye Chamber of Commerce for the use of City Car Park #2 on Sundays for the Down to Earth Farmer’s Market to be held weekly from April 26, 2026 – November 22, 2026.
- Green Light for A Greener Future. Approval of a resolution authorizing a grant application to the Hudson River Valley Greenway for funding assistance for updated comprehensive plan.
- Zoning in on Purchase Street. Authorization to publish a request for proposal for a Central Business District design guidelines & zoning standards study.
- Patronage. Appointments to Boards and Commissions.
- Weathering it Together. Approval of a resolution supporting an Inter-Municipal Cooperative Approach between the Village of Rye. Brook, the Town of Harrison, and the City of Rye concerning the Blind Brook, and Storm Resilience.
