The Rye Girls Golf team continued their strong season with a victory over Edgemont on Tuesday, April 21, winning 254-277. The Garnets have now defeated the league-rival Panthers twice in the past week by a combined margin of victory of -52.

“Rye battled the wind, cold temperatures, and challenging conditions to earn a strong win,” Head Coach Rich Savage told MyRye.com after the match.

A breakout star for Savage and the Garnets thus far, Elle Ridley led all golfers on Tuesday with a 47, good for the lone medalist of the match. Leila Kurbusi carded a 49 in support of her teammate. All twleve golfers who competed had to battle cold, windy conditions, which led to slightly inflated scores on both sides.

Rye (6-2) has a much-deserved week off before their next match against Pelham on Tuesday, April 28.
