The Rye Girls Rugby team struggled offensively in their four-game round robin on Thursday, April 16, falling in all four contests. The Garnets lost 15-5 to Horace Mann, 26-5 to New Rochelle, 42-0 to Harvey, and 27-5 to Hudson Catholic.

“In the opening match, Rye came out strong, but was unable to hang on,” Head Coach Geri Jones reflected after the day.

Halia Marsden, Lily Zaicek, and Alex Gimpelevich all scored one try apiece for the Garnets on the day, in that order.

Rye (1-6) will look for an important bounce back next Thursday, April 23, in their next series of matches against many of the same opponents. Rewatch the action from yesterday here.
