William H. “Bill” Wooldridge, 87, of White Oak, PA passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026. He was born in Rye, NY on April 14, 1939 to the late Charles L. and Kathleen (Scarth) Wooldridge. Bill was one of the kindest people you could have ever met, never disliked anyone, and always had a smile to share. Which makes sense when you’ve been a long time member at Mary, Mother of God Parish – St. Angela; especially as a Eucharistic minister. When someone has a personality like Bill, the list of hobbies and passions is never ending. Volunteering for Meals-on-Wheels, and at Intersection in McKeesport, to being an avid reader, extremely knowledgeable with politics from the natural love of his country, and staying curious until the very end. He was constantly on his IPad searching and learning new things. He was a real handyman too. He could fix almost anything – or at least give it a try! He always enjoyed exercising, and was also a member at the Wilmerding YMCA for many years. Of everything he had done in life, nothing was greater than being a grandfather – the goal of overcoming cancer to watch the grandkids grow was the biggest goal.

He is survived by his wonderful wife of 58 years this October, Mary V. (Braum) Wooldridge; son, Robert (Kelley) Wooldridge of Mt. Lebanon; daughter, Emily (Robert) Pomponi of Greensburg; the grandchildren he adored so much, Sofia & Lia Pomponi, and Duncan Wooldridge; a brother, Monty Wooldridge of Longview TX; 2 nieces, Petra Moran & Keira Morris; as well as his sister -in-law, Jean Ann Mulhern. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Wooldridge.
