The Rye-Blind Brook-Rye Neck Girls Swim and Dive team fell to Mamaroneck on Tuesday, October 13, as they fell 94-84 at the Hommocks Pool. RBBRN kept the meet close despite entering as large underdogs, but could not come away with their third victory of the season.

“The team did a great job competing against a non-league, very strong Mamaroneck team,” head coach Katie Konopka told MyRye.com. “Clare McGlynn went a season best time in the 100 butterfly. Quinn Boyle went a season best time in the 100 freestyle and Lucy Smith went a personal best time in the 100 free.”

Although Mamaroneck took most points in the swimming section of the meet, RBBRN was strong at diving. Lucie Megret won the 1M dive and Claire Biddle placed third with a new season-best score. Zoe Lopez followed right behind in fourth place. Unfortunately for the team, the only RBBRN swimmer to place first was Charlotte Tait, doing so in both the 200M individual medley and 100 breaststroke.

Rye-Blind Brook-Rye Neck (2-3) will look to get back to .500 in their next meet on Friday, October 16, when they visit Ardsley High School to face Ardsley-Dobbs Ferry at 4:30pm.
