The Rye Volleyball team kicked off their three-game homestand with two convincing sweeps on October 6-7, first topping North Rockland 25-21, 25-20, 25-16, then coming back one day later on Dig Pink night and defeating Byram Hills 25-14, 25-9, 25-12. The victories push the Garnets’ winning streak to nine games, as they have not lost in more than four weeks.

Across the two contests, Katie Hillis led Rye in kills with 25, just narrowly edging out Audre Campbell’s 24. Both girls registered right around 4.0 kills per set, a pace which would theoretically place them top 40 in the NCAA.

Giorgia Brizio had a nice beginning to her week from the service line with six aces, and Amelie Modesto put up one of her best two-game stretches of the season with 67 assists across the two sweeps. The senior assisted on almost half of all of Rye’s points.

Rye (11-2) plays again at home tomorrow, October 9, as they host Fox Lane at 5:00pm.
